About this work
An app that kills the "where did I put that?" problem. Record items by photo, location and category, then find them instantly through unified search.
Text in a photo is read by on-device OCR to cut down on typing, and a sensitive list can be hidden behind an app lock with a PIN or biometrics. There is no server, account, subscription or ads, and all data stays on the device.
Features
Places nest from home to room to furniture or storage to slot, with categories used alongside. Each item takes up to 10 photos.
Unified search sweeps name, category, location and memo at once. Backup exports and imports a ZIP holding metadata and photos. For accessibility there is dark mode, large text, haptics and focus support.
Stack
Capacitor, React and TypeScript, verified in Android Studio. Photos go through Capacitor Filesystem, metadata into local JSON.
